Dr Valentina Mazzotta is an Infectious Diseases Specialist at the Lazzaro Spallanzani National Institute for Infectious Diseases in Rome, Italy. Dr Mazzotta is Scientific Coordinator of the Prevention ICONA Dedicated Ensemble (PrIDE) cohort, a national cohort of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) use in Italy. She also coordinates clinical activity at the Lazio Regional Reference Centre for AIDS (CRR-AIDS) including intervention in and out of hospital for people needing HIV testing, people who may benefit from PrEP and ART-naïve individuals. She leads research on Mpox, with specific expertise in clinical management and immunological response after infection or vaccination. Dr Mazzotta serves on the scientific boards of the Italian Conference on Aids and Antiviral Research (ICAR) and the Italian Cohort Naïve Antiretrovirals (ICONA) Foundation Cohort.
