Alberto Mussetti is Director of the Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Unit at the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) – Hospital Duran i Reynals, where he oversees hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and CAR-T cell therapy programs in both clinical and commercial settings.
Following international training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, he has focused his career on the treatment of hematological malignancies, advanced cellular therapies, and translational research. He currently coordinates the Lymphoma and Multiple Myeloma Working Groups of the Spanish Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Group (GETH-TC).
Dr. Mussetti also chairs the Artificial Intelligence Working Group of the Complications Working Party of the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) and maintains a close research collaboration with the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). His work combines clinical excellence with education in CAR-T therapies and research in digital medicine applied to hematology.
