Dr. Sánchez is Head of the Lymphoma Unit at Hospital del Mar, where she leads clinical care, translational research, and innovation projects focused on lymphoid malignancies. Her work combines patient care with research initiatives aimed at improving the biological understanding and treatment of lymphoma.
At the international level, she has served as Principal Investigator in more than 40 clinical trials, including Phase I and Phase II studies, contributing to the development of novel therapeutic approaches in hematology. She is also a key member of the Applied Clinical Research in Hematologic Neoplasms Group within the Cancer Program at the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM).
Her translational research focuses on in vitro studies using lymphoid cell lines, the characterization of mutations associated with treatment response, and the implementation of liquid biopsy strategies. She is actively involved in large international research projects linked to clinical trials and has authored more than 50 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals over the last five years.
