The program aimed at welcoming physicians with little experience in the field of HIV to direct and guide them in the management of their medical practice in an individualized and personalized way is proposed.
Over the years, the management of patients with HIV infection has become increasingly complex due to the emergence of new scenarios. The increased survival of this population leads to an older population, with the appearance of comorbidities that deserve multidisciplinary care. Likewise, the early diagnosis of infection, which is increasingly frequent, deserves special treatment, as does the management of the newly diagnosed young population, with its specific problems of adherence, recreational drug use, sexually transmitted diseases, etc. The management of co-infections with hepatitis B and C viruses and human papillomavirus is added. Finally, the growing therapeutic arsenal makes it necessary to constantly update the subject.
