The workshop is aimed at people with cancer, people who might be diagnosed with cancer in the future, oncologists, physicians involved in cancer care, pharmacists, pharma companies, medical managing directors and philosophers.

Information

The conference aims to discuss about the access and the prescription of anticancer drugs, from the perspective of both the patient and the physician, and the ethical issues that surround them.

Based on the four pillars of ethics (autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence and justice), the role of physicians involved in the prescription of anticancer drugs from an ethical perspective will be addressed, the inviolability of protocols and the indications for the use of drugs will be discussed, as well as the struggle of patients and the society in general to receive the best treatment.
