Activity aimed at cardiologists, radiologists, and/or resident physicians in training who are interested in education and training in Cardiac MRI.

Information

4th edition of the theoretical and practical CMR course, combining specialist training with real clinical cases to develop imaging diagnostic skills.

This course provides a comprehensive overview of CMR, covering both its technical foundations (slice planning, late gadolinium enhancement, and tissue mapping) and its main clinical applications. It includes the assessment of ischemic heart disease, cardiomyopathies, ventricular hypertrophy, valvular heart disease, pericardial disorders, cardiac masses and tumors, as well as the evaluation of aortic diseases and congenital heart conditions.

Albert Teis is a medical specialist in Cardiology and Multimodal Imaging at iCor – the Heart Institute of the Germans Trias University Hospital in Badalona. Trained at the University of Barcelona, he completed his residency at Germans Trias Hospital in Badalona. He served as a senior clinical fellow at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London. Currently, he is a European expert in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance, a professor in the Master’s Program in Advanced Cardiac Imaging at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and the coordinator of the Cardiovascular CT and MRI department at his center. He has collaborated on numerous national and international research projects and has published multiple articles in international journals. His doctoral thesis focused on the applicability of magnetic resonance imaging in the field of heart failure. He is currently supervising two doctoral theses.

Daniel is a medical doctor specializing in Cardiology in the Cardiac Imaging Unit at the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital. He has a particular interest in multimodal cardiac imaging, cardiac MRI, and cardiac CT. He completed his Cardiology residency at the Puerta de Hierro-Majadahonda University Hospital in Madrid and holds several master’s degrees: a Master’s in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (UFV Madrid), a Master’s in Cardiac CT (UFV Madrid), and a Master’s in Advances in Cardiology (UCAM). Additionally, he completed a fellowship in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance at the University Hospital of Zurich, Switzerland.
