Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Zaragoza. PhD in Microbiology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Specialist in Microbiology and Parasitology, currently Head of the Microbiology Department at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona. Associate Professor of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology at UAB. Researcher in the Collaborative Network of Infectious Diseases (CIBERINFEC, ISCIII). Principal investigator of two competitive projects, funded by the Health Research Fund, studying the transmission dynamics of multidrug-resistant bacteria and the individualization, based on epidemic risk, of isolation policies. President of the Spanish Antibiogram Committee (CoEsAnt) and member of various committees and scientific societies related to her specialty.
