Progress in the pathogenic knowledge of some diseases and technological advances in recent years have led to the irruption of immunological therapy, the accelerated development and complexity of which requires continuous updating. This new therapeutic modality has revolutionized the treatment of two broad groups of diseases: oncological diseases and IMIDs, both of which are very prevalent. Its indications are expanding day by day, which, together with its complexity and high cost, justify a thorough knowledge of it in order to obtain maximum efficiency in its application in daily clinical practice.
