JM Sancho completed his MD at the University of Navarra in 1992, and a residency in Haematology at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital in Barcelona. Dr Sancho focused his research in lymphoproliferative disorders, achieving a PhD from the Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona. He is specialist in Hematology-Hemotherapy, Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital, Badalona. Dr.Sancho is coordinator of the Clinical Hematology Department of the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) and works in the Deparment of Haematology at the Germans Trias I Pujol University Hospital in Badalona, Spain. Also, he is Principal Investigator at the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute in the grup of Lymphoid Neoplasms. He will contribute to the data base elaboration and will supervise clinical aspects of the project. He is author or co-author of articles and books’ chapters about lymphomas, ALL and stem cell transplantation. Dr. Sancho is the principal investigator in many phases I to IV clinical trials on lymphoproliferative disorders. He is member of the Spanish Society of Haematology (SEHH) and Spanish Lymphoma Group (GELTAMO).

Blanca Espinet, PhD, is Head of the Molecular Cytogenetics Laboratory in the Department of Pathology at the Institute of Medical Research, Hospital de Mar, Barcelona, Spain. After graduating in Biology and Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona, Dr. Espinet completed her PhD at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Dr. Espinet is also Head of the Translational Research Group in Haematological Neoplasms within the Cancer Research Programme at Hospital de Mar and was President of the Spanish Cooperative Group of Haematological Cytogenetics of the Spanish Society of Haematology and Haemotherapy from 2006 to 2018.

Currently, Dr. Espinet is a member of the Spanish CLL Group within the same society and Coordinator of the Haematological Cytogenetics Commission within the Spanish Association of Human Genetics. In addition, she has been a member of the Cytogenetics Network of the European CLL Research Initiative and Quality Consultant in haematological cytogenetics within the Genomic Quality Assessment.

He completed training in haematology at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona. His doctoral thesis was awarded the Extraordinary Prize of the University of Barcelona (2012). He has been a researcher at the Amyloidosis Center in Pavia, the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, as well as at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York for 18 months, working on PUT-T cells for the treatment of multiple myeloma. He is currently a consultant at the Haematology Service of the Hospital Clinic, leader of the IDIBAPS research group and Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona. He is actively involved in clinical trials for multiple myeloma and macroglobulinemia.

Dr. Guedea is one of the leading experts in radiotherapy of breast, gynaecological and head and cervix tumours. He holds a PhD with Cum Laude qualification and has received awards such as the Ernest Lluch Prize and the Gold Medal of the SFRO (Société Française de Radiothérapie Oncologique).

Throughout his career he has combined his healthcare work with teaching, and has been a full professor at the University of Barcelona since 2007. He is a member of the main medical-scientific societies in the speciality and has been president of the Spanish Society of Radiation Oncology. He currently works at the IMOR Institute and is head of the Radiation Oncology Service at the Catalan Institute of Oncology – Hospital Duran y Reynals.

Dr Juan Carlos Hernández-Boluda graduated in Medicine in 1994 from the University of Valencia. He was a resident in the Hematology Service of the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona (1995-1998), where he earned his PhD in Medicine and Surgery with a doctoral thesis entitled: “Role of p16 and survivin in the progression of chronic myeloid leukemia from the chronic phase to the blast crisis” (2005).

Since 2001, he has been an Associated Physician at the Hematology and Medical Oncology Service of the Hospital Clínico of Valencia, working primarily in the fields of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and the chronic myeloproliferative neoplams.

As a result of his activity in these fields, he has published around 60 papers in peer-review international journals.

Laura Magnano is a senior specialist in the Haematology Service of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and an IDIBAPS accredited researcher. After completing her medical studies at the National University of Córdoba, Argentina, she first specialised in internal medicine and from 2010 to 2014 completed her residency in haematology and haemotherapy at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. Subsequently, she pursued doctoral studies at the University of Barcelona, on clinical-biological factors related to the microenvironment, histological transformation and response to treatment in patients with follicular lymphoma obtaining the extraordinary doctoral award for the academic year 2018-2019. Her areas of interest are lymphoproliferative syndromes, lymphoproliferative syndromes and lymphocytic lymphoma.
