Member of the Working Group of Minority Diseases of the Spanish Society of Internal Medicine (SEMI), the Spanish Society of Immunology and the European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID). His main areas of research are benign autoimmune and lymphoproliferative disorders in patients with primary immunodeficiencies and the role of intestinal dysbiosis in the pathophysiology of these disorders, the use of intravenous and subcutaneous gamma globulins in substitutive regimen and secondary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis. He has participated as principal investigator and promoter in several competitive, privately funded and unfunded projects.

To date, he has participated in more than 30 national and international projects, 8 of which as principal investigator and is the author of more than 200 publications in indexed journals with an h-index of 32, and more than 200 communications in national and international scientific congresses.
