Eligibility Requirements

Exclusion Criteria

Applications may be submitted by those who meet all of the following requirements:

• Be a practicing physician in Spain.

• Regularly care for people living with HIV or people at risk of acquiring HIV infection.

• Have been officially accepted to attend CROI 2026.

Applications that do not meet these requirements will not be admitted to the evaluation process.

Prioritization Criteria

The evaluation committee will apply the following prioritization criteria:

• Having received a registration and travel grant from CROI (CROI Scholarship). In these cases, this scholarship will cover expenses not included.
  (60 points)

• Presenting a research work at the conference (oral communication) accepted by the conference and being the presenting author.
  (50 points)

• Participating in a research work (poster/abstract/oral communication) accepted by the conference as first or last author, without being the presenting author.
  (40 points)

• Participating in a research work accepted by the conference without being first or last author.
  (30 points)

• Have the possibility to share the knowledge acquired due to being a professor in university schools or postgraduate units, or by being part of a broader network of healthcare professionals.
  (20 points)

In the grant application form, applicants must upload the documents that support each prioritization criterion.

In case of a tie between applications, the order of receipt of the complete application will be considered, provided it was submitted correctly via the official form.

All applications received will be evaluated and scored, in accordance with the criteria mentioned above, by a committee appointed by the Fundación Lluita contra les Infeccions and ScienHub.
