Valeria Cantos
Dr. Valeria Cantos completed her medical degree in Quito, Ecuador. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and a subspecialty in Infectious Diseases at Emory University in Atlanta. She is an Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Emory, an attending physician at Grady Memorial Hospital, and the Ponce de León Center at Grady, which specializes in the care of people living with HIV.
Dr. Cantos’ research focuses on HIV prevention in Latino communities living in the United States. She is also a co-investigator at the Emory/Ponce de León Clinical Research Site, where she is involved in clinical trials related to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and sexual health.
