Elena Díaz
Graduated in Medicine from the University of Oviedo, specialized in Cardiology at the Central University Hospital of Asturias, with a subspecialty in Cardiac Imaging. She has completed clinical fellowships in Sports Cardiology, congenital and familial heart diseases, and at the Cardiac Imaging Unit at St George’s Hospital, London.
Holds a PhD in Medicine from the University of Salamanca (Sobresaliente Cum Laude with International Mention) and has earned several master’s degrees and postgraduate qualifications in research methodology, diagnostic imaging, and healthcare management. Former Head of the Cardiac Imaging Unit at Hospital del Mar, she currently works at Germans Trias i Pujol in Badalona.
With expertise in echocardiography, cardiac MRI, and CT, she has co-authored over 20 indexed journal articles and actively engages in research. She serves as a representative for the Spanish Society of Cardiology and an Associate Editor for REC: Cardioclinics.
