Carlos Fernández de Larrea
He completed training in haematology at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona. His doctoral thesis was awarded the Extraordinary Prize of the University of Barcelona (2012). He has been a researcher at the Amyloidosis Center in Pavia, the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, as well as at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York for 18 months, working on PUT-T cells for the treatment of multiple myeloma. He is currently a consultant at the Haematology Service of the Hospital Clinic, leader of the IDIBAPS research group and Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona. He is actively involved in clinical trials for multiple myeloma and macroglobulinemia.
