Sílvia Roure

Dr. Silvia Roure develops her medical specialty in the field of International Health and Tropical Medicine. She is the Director of the Programa de Salut Internacional de la Metropolitana Nord, linked to the Clinical Directorate of Infectious Diseases, and to the Infectious Diseases Service of the Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol University and its Research Foundation, Fundación Lluita contra les Infeccions. In recent years, she has focused on research into imported infections that affect the immigrant population, and more specifically on schistosomiasis and tuberculosis. She is a member of the Spanish Society of Tropical Medicine and the European network for Tropical Medicine and Travel Health. Currently, Dr. Roure combines her clinical and research activity with teaching, both in undergraduate medical training at the UAB and at the University of Vic/Manresa as a clinical associate, as well as in specialized training in International Health, teaching classes in various master’s degrees and academic courses.
