Trajectory

Graduated in Medicine from the University of Buenos Aires in 1965, with a scholarship at the University of Rome. He specialized in Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, and Psychoanalysis, becoming a key figure in group psychoanalytic therapy in Argentina. Influenced by Freud, Pichon-Rivière, and Lacanian theory, he contributed extensively through publications and teaching.
He held prominent roles in cultural policy during Argentina’s democratic transition, including Secretary of Culture of Buenos Aires and later at the national level, where he helped establish major cultural institutions like INCAA and the National Theatre Institute. He also served as senator, diplomat, and ambassador in Spain, Bolivia, and Panama.
Currently dedicated to historiography, he directs the History Department at UCES University.
