Catia Marzolini

Catia Marzolini obtained a degree in Pharmacy followed by a PhD in Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship within the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, USA.

Catia Marzolini is an Associate Professor at the University Hospital of Basel. Her main research interest is the pharmacology of antiretroviral drugs with a focus on drug-drug interactions, pharmacokinetics in special populations and prescribing issues in elderly people living with HIV. She has authored/co-authored more than 130 publications. Catia Marzolini is also the scientific lead of the University of Liverpool HIV and COVID-19 drug interactions websites. She serves on the European AIDS Clinical Society (EACS) guidelines committee where she co-chairs the drug-drug interaction section and is a member of the scientific board of the Swiss HIV Cohort Study.
