This course addresses the need for healthcare systems and professionals to adapt to a changing epidemiological reality, where emerging diseases, zoonoses, climate change, migration, and global health inequalities shape a complex scenario. It also explores topics such as overfishing and its impact on migration, the relationship between climate change and health, cuts in international aid, emerging sexually transmitted infections, arboviruses, nutrition in migratory contexts, and experiences in high-endemicity settings.
The course is framed within the concept of Global Health (One Health), which integrates human, animal, and environmental health as interdependent pillars for disease prevention and control.
