The workshop is aimed at nursing professionals who work in day hospitals where it is necessary to administer immunoglobulins subcutaneously to patients who are candidates for replacement treatment.
Subcutaneous immunoglobulin replacement therapy has become a key option in the management of hypogammaglobulinemia, which is present in both primary and secondary immunodeficiencies. The significant increase in secondary immunodeficiencies in recent years, together with the availability of new formulations and administration devices, makes it essential for healthcare professionals to be familiar with the characteristics of each preparation and how to use them correctly. This ensures that all eligible patients can fully benefit from this treatment.
The aim of this workshop is to provide nursing professionals with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to deliver safe, efficient, and individualized subcutaneous immunoglobulin administration. By doing so, we seek to enhance the quality of patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
