David Virós Porcuna
Dr. David Virós Porcuna is a renowned specialist in otorhinolaryngology with a subspecialization in head and neck surgery and oncology, as well as reconstructive microsurgery. He holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Lleida and a PhD in surgery from the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau.
He has extensive specialized training in reconstructive microsurgery techniques and robotic surgery techniques. He currently has significant experience in minimally invasive head and neck surgeries, being a national reference in robotic surgery. Additionally, these surgical techniques cause less damage to the patient in highly sensitive areas such as aesthetics, speech, swallowing, and breathing.
He combines his clinical practice with research and outreach activities in specialized media, as well as participating in and organizing congresses and courses in his field.
In addition to his excellent clinical practice, he is known for his work as Director of the head and neck robotics program at the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital. He is also a member of some of the most prestigious medical societies, including the Catalan Society of Otorhinolaryngology, the Spanish Society of Otorhinolaryngology, and the European Head and Neck Society. He currently practices at the Sagrada Familia Otorhinolaryngology Clinic, a role he combines with teaching at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
