Boris Revollo

He completed his specialty at the Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol, with a stay at the Infectious Diseases service of the La Pitié-Salpêtrière University Hospital in Paris-France. At the end of his specialty, he oriented his clinical practice to the treatment of infectious pathologies, mainly HIV-infected patients and associated pathologies, as well as infectious pathologies that are difficult to manage.

For more than 7 years, he dedicated himself to the study of pathologies related to Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection in the HIV-infected population, a field in which he completed his doctoral thesis, finishing it in 2019. He obtained his degree in doctor of medicine with the highest qualification (Cum laude) for the publications he made in the field of prevention of anal cancer related to HPV infection, being the main author of the first publication worldwide that demonstrated the usefulness of anoscopy resolution as a prevention strategy for anal cancer.

During the COVID-19 epidemic, he led the first study that demonstrated the usefulness of screening with antigen tests to be able to carry out massive cultural events during the concerts of Love of Lesbian and the Sala Apolo in Barcelona, ​​events that had a great impact worldwide. and that their results were published in the prestigious journals Lancet ID and Annals of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Revollo has worked for three years as a volunteer with the NGO Médecins Sans Frontières – France in different countries on the African continent such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic, Tchad, Sudan, always orienting his clinical practice towards the treatment of infectious pathologies.
