PRESENTATION OF INNOVATIVE PROJECTS ON COMMUNITY INTERVENTIONS TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE
Guidelines for Project Submission
Purpose of the Call:
- As part of the 10th edition of the Aging in HIV workshop, visibility will be given to various projects aimed at improving the quality of life of people aged 50 and over living with HIV. Attendees will vote for the best project, which will receive a financial award to support its implementation.
Key dates:
- The deadline for projects submission is October 12th, 2025. By then, the outcome of the applications submitted will be notified after the evaluation of the applications.
- The Scientific Committee will review all applications and will notify you of the decision no later than October 27
Project Phases:
- Phase 1 – Project Submission: Participants must submit a summary of up to 250 words describing the project to be implemented. The summary should include the following sections: objectives, design, methodology, and impact.
- Phase 2 – Selection of Finalists: The Scientific Committee will select the top three projects based on the evaluation criteria outlined in Section 3 of these guidelines. The selected applicants will be contacted by the organization to provide further details on the presentation.
- Phase 3 – Presentation and Voting: The three finalists will present their projects on November 13 during the workshop program, in a 10-minute presentation following this structure:
- Description: Project objectives and motivation, highlighting its social and scientific relevance.
- Design and Methodology: Explanation of the chosen methodology, including innovative tools such as Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs) or Artificial Intelligence (AI), if applicable.
- Expected Impact: Anticipated improvements in the quality of life of people aged 50 and over living with HIV.
- Phase 4 – Final Evaluation and Award Announcement: Workshop attendees will vote for the best project, and the winner will be announced during the workshop’s closing session. The prize will be awarded in two installments: an initial payment followed by a second payment after six months, provided that documentary evidence of the project’s implementation is submitted, such as a progress report or proof of execution.
Evaluation Criteria:
The three finalists presenting at the workshop will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Impact and relevance: Expected improvements in quality of life and innovative contributions to the clinical or care field.
- Innovation and methodology: Use of innovative techniques, project feasibility, and application of new technologies.
- Clarity and coherence: Clearly defined objectives, logical structure, and well-explained expected outcomes.
- Vulnerability of the target population: Consideration of particularly vulnerable groups or those with specific needs.
